Baywood Changemakers Virtual Celebration

May 19 2020

The Baywood Green Team and community were invited to participate in a virtual celebration organized by Deb Robert and the Green Team teachers.

Summary

Deb Robert and the Green Team teacher leaders organized a virtual Green Team gathering to celebrate the student Green Team accomplishments. At this event, the process of bringing a Green Team together to address the issue of too much food waste waste was recapped, and testimonials written by students were shared.  OOS was invited to present the Baywood Green Team with a Green Star Schools certificate as well as present the final quantities of total waste diverted and CO2e emissions avoided. Rethink Waste capped the gathering by holding a raffle for Green Team student members present. AND, there was a Go Noodle dance-off to finish the celebration!
